In 2008, amidst one of the world's most turbulent economic times, Lauren McKeague decided to leave her right mind behind and open Pink Slip Boutique. Self diagnosed as terminally creative, she found her life's direction at Columbia College Chicago where she studied Design and Retail Management (Class of '07). A full time day job led to hectic evenings where she carefully crafted plans to build her dream shoppe. Her goal: to offer the best product and outstanding service.
Snuggled up in Mokena, IL, Pink Slip has grown to provide the best in special occasion dresses and accessories. The shop strives to always be known as a brand on the forefront of fashion. Nine years, and many late night root beer/poptart dinners later, Lauren still works tirelessly to guarantee her customer's satisfaction. Over time the shop has grown to be featured in numerous television segments, magazine editorials, blogs and fashion shows. What was once deemed as Chicagoland's 'best kept secret' has now evolved into a nationally known brand that truly believes life is too short to wear a bad outfit.
As Pink Slip continues to grow and offer the best in ready-to-wear, Lauren realized that the brand was slowly outgrowing its space. In 2016 Pink Slip became a little sister to Parker James, a ready-to-wear boutique offering the best in clothing, accessories, home and gifts. With two locations, the new stores make it easier for Pink Slip to continue to offer only the best in special occasion merchandise.
Lauren's most important focus, at both shops, is to always be available to her clients and to make the shopping experience as seamless and as accessible as possible. Should you ever have questions or concerns she is easily reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
